What are the store hours?

Store hours are:
Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Is it necessary to have an appointment to make an orthopedic insole?

Yes. The appointment can be made by phone by calling 02 58107732 or 375 5258563.

Is a medical prescription needed for a custom-made orthopedic insole?

Yes, a medical prescription must be brought, which must state the need for the custom-made orthopedic insole (custom-made foot orthosis).

What is the validity of the medical prescription?

The medical prescription is valid for one year from the date of issue.

What is the cost of orthopedic insoles?

The cost of orthopedic insoles varies between 280 and 500 euros, depending on the manufacturing technique and materials used.

Can I write off the cost of the orthopedic insole from the tax return?

Yes, it is possible to write off the cost of the orthopedic insole when filing a tax return by presenting medical prescription, invoice and declaration of compliance issued by our Center when the insole is collected.

Do you have an agreement with the National Health Service?

No, we make custom-made orthopedic insoles only privately.

Do you have an agreement with private insurance companies?

No, the patient will have to bear the entire expense of the products/services offered by our Center, except that he/she will then independently apply to his/her own insurance for reimbursement.

Is the orthopedic insole made only for the foot affected by the pathology?

No, the pair of orthopedic insoles (right and left) is always made based on the specifications of each foot.

Do I have to buy a larger pair of shoes to fit the orthopedic insoles?

No, as long as you can remove the insole from the shoe to allow the orthopedic insole to be inserted.

Do I have to have a pair of orthopedic insoles for each shoe?

No, provided the shoes have removable insoles and are similar in shape. However, if your needs are different, it is best to make specific insoles for your intended use (for example: sports use and daily use).

When can I come to pick up the insoles?

The insoles can be picked up at the store (Corso San Gottardo, 3 – 20136 Milan) as soon as you receive the message that they are ready for pickup.

What are the times for picking up the insoles?

The insoles can be picked up during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday mornings only from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Are custom-made shoe lifts made?

Yes, custom-made shoe lifts are made for dysmetria of the lower limbs, based on medical prescription.

Are single carbon insoles made for metatarsal fractures and/or Achilles tendon retraction?

Yes, single carbon insoles are made for metatarsal fractures and/or Achilles tendon retraction for the right or left foot, based on medical prescription.

Do you also make custom-made braces/orthoses and protective masks?

Yes, we make custom-made braces for upper and lower limb, as well as protective masks with different materials (carbon, thermoplastic, silicone), by appointment, based on medical prescription.

Do you perform baropodometric evaluations? Is a medical prescription required?

Yes, we perform baropodometric evaluations of statics and dynamics by appointment. A medical prescription is not required.

Do you perform postural assessments? Is a medical prescription necessary?

Yes, we perform postural assessments by appointment. A medical prescription is not necessary.

What is Running Lab?
What is necessary to bring for the visit? Who is it for? Is a prescription needed?

The Running Lab service involves an accurate analysis of the joint angles of the lower limb during running, carried out on a sensorized treadmill, performed using the Motion Metrix infrared system. It is performed by a physician specialized in Sports Medicine by appointment. Short-sleeved T-shirt, shorts and shoes used during running should be brought for the examination. The examination takes about one hour. No medical prescription is required. It is for anyone who wishes to learn more about running biomechanics and improve their performance.

What is Cycling Lab / Bike Fitting?

The bike fitting service is part of the Cycling Lab in a broader sense.

 

Bike fitting, in particular, involves:

  • interview aimed at learning about the cyclist’s goals
  • physical assessment aimed at assessing joint mobility, any dysmetria, postural alignment
  • prefit detection through appropriate placement of markers on the cyclist, based on 3D technology equipped with 6 cameras
  • appropriate positioning in the cyclist’s saddle, with adjustment, if necessary, of:
    • saddle
    • handlebars
    • cleats
  • saddle mapping, aimed at accurately analyzing-through Gebiomized technology-the distribution of loads on the saddle, asymmetries and positioning of the body’s center of gravity
  • post-fit detection
  • personalized reporting

The bike fitting session lasts approximately 2 h 30 min.

It is carried out by our experienced staff (osteopath and orthopedic technicians) specialized in bike fitting and is aimed at cyclists (amateurs and professionals) who wish to improve their performance and/or alleviate painful symptoms.

What other service is provided as part of the Cycling Lab?

The other service provided by the Cycling Lab is the customized carbon fiber cycling insole. It is intended to provide increased ankle stability and proper foot placement in cycling footwear while improving sports performance.
